Seapets giveaway, and interview

Seapets etsy shop is full of one of a kind sewing items like these;

The owner agreed to do an interview, as well as giveaway with me so keep reading! :)

Hi, nice to meet you. Tell us a little about yourself, or any hobbies that you have.

My passion is in creating one of a kind sewing items. I envision something, create the pattern on paper, and then create my visions in fabrics.
I have been sewing since I was 5 years old. My education was in fashion sewing/pattern design. I create clothes, home decorations, crafts, and sewing patterns. I love to invent and create other things. In my spare time I create mosaic art and tend to my garden. I also teach sewing and craft classes for my local school district in adult education. This is the best job ever! My new adventure is Etsy. Etsy has been so far a very exciting experience.

Where do you get your inspiration for the items that you create? Tell us a bit about your shop.

My inspiration comes from the needs of people, for example my students, and what can be fun, useful, and unique.

Is there any music or other media that you listen to while you work?

I like to listen to the radio for the latest news and talk shows while I create. Also, I like to listen to the oldies but goodies music, such as music from the 60's and on, and some classical music as well.

Do you have any favorite Etsy (or online) shops?

I love the handmade jewelry items at They are one of a kind. Also, Nancy's Notions is another favorite. I love all the sites that are related to sewing and art.

Do you have any advice for other Etsy sellers?

I think the best advice is to offer good quality merchandise that speaks for itself. Make sure you ship and deliver on time and keep your customers happy.

She has generously offered to give one reader an adorable pet poncho pattern if you are into sewing.
Walk your dog in style! Adorable Pet Poncho pattern designed for beginning sewers with creative options for advanced sewers. This basic poncho pattern can be stylized to suit your tastes in many creative ways.

For beginning sewers fleece is highly recommended as the fabric of choice, since the edges will not unravel. For advanced sewers more fabric options are available.

There are so many creative possibilities. Add trimming like cording, ball fringes, or lace trim to the edges of the poncho. Add appliqués, lettering, or iron-on logos. This pattern can be used to make a reversible poncho as well.

RV: $7.00
